Our name is an ode to Chef Nick’s Cuban family. A Paladar refers to the chef-run restaurants that first came about in Cuba in the early 1990’s. They operated primarily out of family homes and meals would change based on market availability. When Our Paladar first started, pop-ups were held at Nick’s home in Rochester. We were truly operating as a Paladar in those first months and feel the name embodies our vision for dining. We want to invite you into a warm and vibrant environment with food that sheds light on what Rochester has to offer.

 

We hope that you feel the thought and care that our entire team put into the renovation of the space. It is that kind of joy for community and commitment to quality that we hope is dually reflected in our food and your entire dining experience.
